At a time when few high-trafficked sites cater to women of color's
interests, away from the mainstream media hype there are several*do-it-yourself* sites popping up all over the Girl Wide Web. Right now, an electronic
revolution is taking place!
Entrepreneur websites that are created for and by brown, yellow, pink, red,
and tan sisters, providing everything from screen-printed t-shirts to
self-published magazines are popping up all over the net. They aren't
financed by corporate backers or bureaucratic investors, these sites have
roots, heart, personality, quality content, struggle, and dedicated viewers.
They are sites that real women can relate to.
Starting this* *April 15, 2006* Colored gURL, LLC* wants to bring these
women to the forefront via networking, advertising, marketing, education,
and funding to combine their collective forces together to support one
another and compete with industry competitors. Colored gURL is a privately
administered program and is supported by the donations of local and national
supporters via our various services.
