Support for people giving up porn?

Postby Lost Clown » Sat Mar 25, 2006 4:29 am

And not the religious kind.

An acquantince of mine just asked if I had any resources. He told me that reading my writing really made him see his place in the oppression of women and that he hates doing things to further patriarchy. He's stopped looking at it, but wants men to talk to about it.

Any ideas?

(i know this shouldn't be on me, but I'm always overly helpful)

i think he could join this board, give his location, and put out a call. or probably more reasonably, form a group via meetup.com groups like this are very necessary but are not happening, and are not viewed as cool in the least... so it's hard going.

important too that it be in person, and not online, so much more effective and lasting, and it can expand into other similar issues.

http://saa-recovery.org/ is the website of SAA, a group for people of all genders and sexual orientations who want to stop addictive sexual behavior. It's based of AA, so an athiest wouldn't like it, but it's not tied to a spicific religion.
