Frontline: American Porn

Postby Starburst » Sat Jun 10, 2006 10:22 am

If you go to pbs.org, you can watch a 2002 show called "American Porn." I rented a video of the show from my school library, and I thought it was horrible--very pro-porn. There were no issues with feminist anti-porn advocates at all, yet they somehow managed to interview Larry Flint!!!!

I'm glad they did show some of the more graphic, horrible sex forced on women though. (Be careful, if you choose to watch this).

Also, there is a trial case at the end of this show. I cannot find what the outcome was online (it never said on the show). If anyone watched, or watches, the show, and knows, please let me know.
"You cannot maintain respectibility and deal with the status of pornography and prostitution at the same time. It's as if women are saying, we don't want that stink on us, we just don't, we don't want to smell that way." --Andrea Dworkin
