Talking about how the masculinist woman-hating culture of the so-called sexually liberated male authors in the middle of the last century that Millet analysed and challenged has now found a new and much larger outlet in pornography.

Worth paying attention to the descriptions by the male protagonists in these stories talking about their sexual encounters with women, where what sound like reactions to rape (all over shaking, crouching in a corner, inability to speak) are used as "proof" of the animalistic sexuality of women.

I really, really loved watching & listening to this lecture the other day. Kate Millett was spot on in so many of her analyses. Sheila Jeffreys has a very acute knowledge of how awfully woman-hating this culture has become. For sure, we will need more writers like Sheila Jeffreys or Kate Millett in the future.
