Obama's election strategy appears to be to hope that enough democrats will vote for him because they have nowhere else to go and to reach out to republicans with right wing policies to make up for the votes of all the democrats who definitely won't vote for him.

:( You did tell me so. I just didn't believe it. But yep, he is pandering his ass off. Really disgusting. But the prospect of McCain is terrifying! Stupid government.

EMPOWER. WOMEN. Only. Men are not your friends. Hillary would have beat that old man. Yes there is plenty wrong with her. But SHE
is for Women. Even though she looked the other way in the face of Bills shit, because her goal is political power. All men have the potential to be bill.
McCain and Obama are interchangeable. same shit different color wrapper. More violent male supremacy , less violent male supremacy, it is still male supremacy.

I want to say this as respectfully as I can, because it may sound a patronizing and I really don't mean it this way at all.

*Revolutionay movements that have succeeded in politics or society, have allways been Implacable and single minded. The Communists in Russia, the Nazis in Germany, the Islamic expansion, the Catholic Church. All these groups and others said "We believe in *this* and *this* is what we are going to do".

You cannot have a change away from patriarchy if you dont Empower Women, and You cannot Empower Women if you Empower men.

Of course I am using these patriarchist movements as an example because all of the World has been and is patriarchal. That is exactly why our movement is the most revolutionary, I am in no way agrandizing the patriarchist movements, of course. I am just pointing out their success because of their single minded devotion to their goal.

Well folks, I guess I'm voting Green this election, because the presidential and vice-presidential candidates are both progressive women, so it seems. Too bad they're not anti-pornstitution activists, from what I can tell, but it's nice to see two women of color chosen to be leaders of a party for starters.

McKinney says certain things that annoy me, like how her mother was a nurturer by Instinct--- ahh!!!! It's basic feminism 101 that being nurturing isn't a biological trait! I know she had good intentions when she said that, but I can't ignore it. Guess she needs to be educated on that.

Here's the video I'm watching... Clementa said the word "misogynist" at one point and they both mentioned women's rights, McKinney said quotes from Seneca Falls/ suffragists. McKinney talked about the wage gap between men and women. Here's the speech:

http://www.runcynthiarun .org/

The video is 50 minutes and 47 seconds long and it was the video from the Convention. It's somewhat inspiring, but also frustrating, because I see the gaps in the speech... like how they didn't say the word "patriarchy". I want them both to read the Gender Knot by Allan Johnson, then maybe they'll start thinking critically about patriarchy, cause just being pro-choice and pro-suffrage isn't enough, but they were saying amazing stuff besides that and I feel really good seeing a Puerto Rican woman and black woman in leadership positions.

The greens are not even looking to win the presidency... Greens just want a third party to be visible in the USA. So I'm voting McKinney/Clementa. I might have to write their names in though, if they don't show up on the paper ballot.

THe Green Party platform does talk about "patriarchy" but not, that I noticed about ponstitution. It does come out against trafficking. This was in 2004; I did not see that this section was altered for 2008. Yes, it is amazing to have a party even as big as the Greens nominate two women, much less "women of color"...

El feminista, I agree. I think Hillary could have gotten past McCain and she would have had the chance if the "Democrats" were actually democratic. Obama is, as I said before, a "plant".

plant plant plant.
i know.

i think that people don't completely understand, that on some subconcious or mass concious or mass subconcious level. men are all
in this together. men that are seriously commited to the cause, are considered 'faggots" by the male establishment. why?? because we are not *"ONE OF US"*
or rather "one of them" , so they categorize us as other, and "fags" becuase if you are not a fucker, well then you obviously want to get fucked. This is what they bthink of female humans across the board, and it applies to loiberal, left wing or right wing men.
Possibly suconciously, i believe that men have a collective will to oppress women. and so men's actions are coordinated across "politica" lines. The politic of gender fascism is not verbally discussed because no one is voting= IT'S HERE , HAS BEEN HERE AND INTENDS TO REMAIN.

As an analogy, imagine the realpoliyik world of repugnicrants and democrats are racing down on skis in some downhill race. all of a sudden they see a large rock sticking out of the snow(HILLARY or any other Woman). Well, simply, the all ski around it and continue on their merry way. They quickly recognize the threat ("ROCK") and dont consider her another skier. They deftly ski around her and make a detour, meeting again after they have passed her, because that middle line represents the quickest way to the goal, their position of power, the presidency. the quickest wy is that middle ground, so they both circumvent and then slide close to the middle . this is possible because most Women dont get this because if women did that rock would become a wall and nthey would splat against it with no more easy sailing.

You are so right...
Other day heard from a friend about his taking a cab in a Mexican border town. Driver assumed he wanted to go where the "girls" were. When he protested, no , that wasn't the case, driver asks if he was homosexual, says he can take him where there are "boys"... Sickening, yes, but that is the mentatlity, as you say.
