Too much. Really. Time to get angry.

Obama is not a Progressive! ! Never has been, never will be. He is a ruling class candidate who is fooling American Progressives into voting for him under the guise of progressive slogans of "change", as well as a few progressive stances on cultural/social issues.
More importantly for Greens, Obama is probably the sleeper candidate of the Nuclear Power industry. He has NEVER opposed Nuclear Power; rather, he has shifted the goalposts to the right, with a non-regulated Nuclear Industry being the bad guys, and his regulated version being the good guys (ie. the Progresssive position).
He had accepted over $225,000 from executives and employees of Exelon, the nation's largest nuclear power plant operator. Hmmm...that doesn't sound like a grassroots support base to me.
And what about that nuclear regulation legislation he brags about? Well, it was basically re-written without teeth to the liking of the industry. Furthermore, it was never actually passed in the IL Senate. From http://www.nytimes. com/2008/ 02/03/us/ politics/ 03exelon. html?_r=2&pagewanted=2&hp&oref=slogin:
The rewritten bill also contained the new wording sought by Exelon making it clear that state and local authorities would have no regulatory oversight of nuclear power plants.
In interviews last week, representatives of Exelon and the nuclear commission said they were satisfied with the revised bill. The Nuclear Energy Institute said it no longer opposed it but wanted additional changes.
The revised bill was never taken up in the full Senate, where partisan parliamentary maneuvering resulted in a number of bills being shelved before the 2006 session ended.
Still, the legislation has come in handy on the campaign trail. Last May, in response to questions about his ties to Exelon, Mr. Obama wrote a letter to a Nevada newspaper citing the bill as evidence that he stands up to powerful interests.
"When I learned that radioactive tritium had leaked out of an Exelon nuclear plant in Illinois," he wrote, "I led an effort in the Senate to require utilities to notify the public of any unplanned release of radioactive substances."
Last October, Mr. Obama reintroduced the bill, in its rewritten form.
Obama is probably to the right of Clinton on Healthcare, if you look at it. Of course, we all know Clinton is no Progressive either, but that is already obvious to Liberals/PDA Dems/Greens. The enemy you don't know is the dangerous one. Why Liberals/PDA Dems think he's one of them is a testament to the power of his charisma, and the media. Obama is a pro-Corporate centrist. Don't take my word for it; take his. The Nuclear Industry was pleased with his centrism. From http://www.counterpunch .org/ halle02042008. html:
Shortly thereafter, Nuclear Notes, the industry's top trade publication, praised the senator. "Back during his campaign for the U.S. Senate in 2004, [Obama] said that he rejected both liberal and conservative labels in favor of 'common sense solutions.' And when it comes to nuclear energy, it seems like the Senator is keeping an open mind."
Compared to Obama, Edwards and Kucinich were crazy anti-corporate left-wingers! In my opinion, it's our job as Greens must be the first to smell a rat, and to educate.
What to do in November? I won't even go there, on the issue of voting the lesser-of-two- evils. I will be voting Green, but I don't put anyone down who doesn't share my opinion. I would just say this: I'm not longer sure that the Democrat candidate will actually actually be the lesser of two evils. Sad.
