Sorry this is rant. I just need to get it out.
I am so sick and tired of women acting like dumb sl*ts. Why do they think that being a dumb bimbo skank is great! I really dont want to have to get rid of my television. I do like tv. Sometimes taht is. But more and more i see women acting like dumb ass men pleasing bimbos. These women think they are empowered acting that way??? No i dont think so. They are instead ripping away any morals they ever had all to please a man. Why is this world all about men and pleasing them?
God i frigin hate it when i see women on Girls gone wild. Wait actually they are girls really ( not women) Anyway how could they degrade themselves like that? Didnt there moms ever teach them that their bodies are scared? Do they even care taht mommand dad might see this?
Oh and then the dumb show that i really cant even belive is allowed on tv. The girls next door. Ever heard of that show? I have never watched it but i just had to take a peek last night. I guess i just had to see how messed up this world really is. And well the world sucks basically, These girls that are around my age acting like such dumb shits. They sit there acting like they love hugh hefner and all of them have the same bleach blond fried hair and the boobs look like giant basket balls. I had to wonder why any man would find these women attractive. They are actually kind of sickening to me. Why even have a differnt play mate each month, when they all look exactley the same.
I am tired of tv putting this trash on tv. I am tired of being force fed to believe that women were only put on this earth to spread there legs for men!!
You know i have a neice she is 15 yrs old. She loves play boy and her my space page is all decked out with playboy and she calls herslf a hooker. What went wrong i think all the time? I remember her as an innocent little girl i know we all grow up but it breaks my heart to think that she looks up to the hookers in playboy magazine. We have got to stop this! The media is messing thsi whole generation up. People treat sex like an old sock. Its no big deal anymore. Sorry iam just so mad right now.

first of all - I think you need a giant Hug!!! So here is a cyber-hug headed your way.

Second, we are all sick of this - and that is why it is really important that you harness your anger and rage and use it to your advantage!

Take ACTION! Don't let stuff like this slip by, write, organize, meet with others who think like you, talk to your niece, expose the truth about all this.

It's a painful process - but it will help you in the long run when people you love come back and tell you that you helped them see that women weren't 'created to spread their legs for men'.

Also, there are PLENTY, PLENTY, PLENTY of women out there in this world who are talented, intelligent and go-getters. But guess what? No one wants to hear about them - so they aren't the ones that producers want on TV. The ones that producers want on TV are the ones that will generate ratings and thus advertising dollars.

So what I am saying is, don't direct your ire at these women who star in these shows, direct your ire at the public who watches it and the producers who make this shit up and call it entertainment. Don't say that these women aren't 'beautiful' and 'don't question why men think they are beautiful'. The answer is - they look vulnerable, and in our society a vulnerable woman looks beautiful. Plus, when you say things like this - it can be spun around and thrown in your face to those who say you are feminist cause you are jealous of them.

Practise your writing skills and expand your own imagination too! Maybe you can write comedies/fiction/stories/television shows/art that reflects your views of what women can be.

As a sometime short story writer and artist, I know that when my work is out there - it is different from dominant culture, and it makes me feel good to be able to do more for the cause in non-intrusive ways. We all need a little creativity in our lives.

If you play an instrument - write some songs, sing them - find a local gig at a club and just challenge ideas about what women are like. I know a feminist song-writer and singer who's great at this!

Anyways, have a nice warm cup of tea and get to work sistafriend!!! you can make a difference!

PS I didn't own a tv for five years. It's good to throw your tv away for a while. You might also want to cut off cable instead.

I knew about most pop-culture during the time that I wasn't watching tv just because I used to read a lot about it.
