Woman Reports Sex Crime, Ends Up With Prostitution Charge

A woman who called police on a "sex crime," ended up being charged with prostitution.

Georgia Woods, 38, of E. 5th Street, is also charged with filing a false report.

Police said they were summoned to an apartment on Central Drive. Ms. Woods told them the man involved in the case was in another apartment.

Officers talked with Kevin Rene Lewis, who said he picked up Ms. Woods and brought her back to his apartment. He said he paid her $10.

Police said Ms. Woods then admitted she got mad because she said Lewis did not pay her the $10.

Lewis was charged with patronizing prostitution.
