Canada is usually fairly 'sweden' like in it's approach to prostitution. However, it's approach to pornography is just something else. It's always had great research by primarily anti-pornstitution socialist feminists who've addressed policy issues to the Status of Women Canada etc, in proposing the 'swedish model' etc...

Well, sociology and anthropology are fairly similar... Just one's more quantitative and the other is more qualitative. I have one supervisor who's a sociologist another who's an anthropologist. I myself am an anthro.

While there are many sociologists who are misogynists, there are a lot of feminist sociologists.

If all these pro-sex industry people claim that we only conduct research and activist work around prostitution because we are 'morally appalled' at the sexual degradation of women, then why do all these fuddle-heads do their research on 'pro-sexindustry' work? What is their general motivation?

Are they martyrs and the only true academics/researchers/activists out there? What is an argument that we can articulate against their ridiculous attacks regarding our motivations? What's their vested interest?
