My fiance and i are watching his parents house for them while they are away. They get like a thousand channels that we don't get at home. Like HBO for instance. So i was flipping thorugh the channles and low and behold i see porn on HBO? Now i have known since i was a child that cinemax and stuff showed porn late at night but HBO was showing porn at 9 pm. Isn't that a little early? Why does HBO show porn anyway? What i mean is isn't there enough porn channels amnyway? And by the way this was not soft core porn. Sorry to be so graphic but They were showing this mechanical dildo doing things to women. I almost had to vomit. How could people even watch crap like that? It seemed very hurtful to women and it looked so harsh!! Actually it was very hardcore. I have heard people say that HBO and cinemax only show soft core. Yeah right! And even if they did only show soft core does that make it right? Its like to me if soemone wants to see that stuff they should have to go to the sleazy video store and buy it. We make it so easy these days!!
Anyway this is just a rant.I was outraged thinking that kids could easily view this. What sux is that the fcc Does not take care of channels like HBO.

Oh misfit girl, did you not know? There can never be enough porn channels - in fact, the plan is to have all channels showing porn all day, every day, and to sexualize all aspects of culture to make sure that when you're not sitting in front of your box watching it, you can still see it going about your daily life, just in case you start getting withdrawal symptoms. Even programs that aren't remotely sexual will be tenuously connected somehow to being pornified.

Also, you can make sure you have lots of it sent to your phone just to make extra extra extra sure that you aren't missing out!

I remember HBO in the 80's when they just showed Tootsie and The Incredible Shrinking Woman, like 24/7.
Now they show porn-umentaries.

It makes me want to throw-up.

I have this theory that these days, (speaking of throwing up), bulimia has taken a sinister new twist in that young women are now feeling so much more pressure, not just about weight, but all the other aspects of their bodies and their sexuality, and the crap that the media and culture is telling them, and that this is their subconscious telling them to refuse to take it, that it's wrong.

There has always been an aspect of this in eating disorders, but I think there are many more issues added to this problem today.
