Hardcore the documentary on-line

Postby delphyne » Wed Apr 06, 2011 10:03 am

Probably no need for any anti-porn feminist to watch this, given how disturbing it is. But it's a resource.

2001 documentary about an English woman, Felicity, who goes to the US to work in porn, and her agent sets her up with Max Hardcore. You can guess the rest:

I think the most important thing about this film is not about Max Hardcore as an individual - but that it show that he is just an example of many extreme hardcore porn producers, for all the others producers in the film are prefer to mentally, physically and sexually torture the women for profit and to get their rocks off. Also, it show the grooming of making the woman inside porn do the worse, then all her boundaries are destroyed for she survived by being completely dislocated. What I found so powerful was how after the experiences with Max Hardcore, that the woman in the film did horrific and deeply degrading porn, that had disgusted and frightened her at the start of the film - for by the end of the film she was surviving by being completely alienated from her own existence.

I saw it before and can't watch it again. It was really fucked up. The images of Max Hardcore and his house are so burned on my retina that I can't get rid of them. I hate that asshole so much I wish he would die a slow and painful death sooner rather than later.

Sorry Pisaquari. For anybody who hasn't watched it, it shows rape and abuse.

Agree Rebecca it's about the men - the rapists are in full view there. I don't think there's a man in shot who isn't a rapist. They all are. It is terrible.
